VGD program




Based on different levels of food insecurity, the upazilas of Bangladesh are divided into four categories: very food insecure, high food insecurity, moderate food insecurity and low food insecurity.


VGD women election


UP members prepare preliminary list.


Three elected women members of the union prepare a preliminary list of 50% of the total allotted cards of that union.


The remaining 50% of the remaining 50% cards are prepared by the male members of the nine general seats on the advice of the chairman.


The UP VGD committee after reviewing the preliminary list finalizes it and submits it to UNO.


Upazila Project Implementation Officer and Upazila Women Affairs Officer jointly verify the correctness.


The upazila executive officer approved the list at the final stage.
